Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key Domestic Institutional Investors and FPIs (mutual funds, insurance companies, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, etc.)
- Act as a primary point of contact for FPI clients and related intermediaries (custodians, brokers, consultants)
Sales Strategy & Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities and drive onboarding of FPIs to the Exchange
- Promote Exchange products and services to institutional clients, including new offerings and market initiatives
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to increase market participation and trading volumes from institutional clients
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with market intermediaries such as custodians, brokerage firms, fund administrators, to facilitate seamless client service
- Liaise with internal teams (technology, operations, compliance, legal) to ensure alignment and support for institutional client needs
- Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to recommend strategic initiatives
- Provide regular reporting on client interactions, pipeline development, and market feedback to senior management
Candidate Profile:
Experience:
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Institutional Sales or Business Development
- Direct experience dealing with Domestic Institution and FPI clients in Stock Exchange, Brokerage, or Custodian setups or Banks etc.
- Solid understanding of FPI regulations, institutional investment ecosystem, onboarding processes, and cross-border trading infrastructure
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of Indian capital markets, trading mechanisms, and institutional investor behavior
- Ability to build and manage high-value client relationships
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills
