Job description
Educational Qualification & Desirable skillset:
- B.E / B.Tech Civil & M.E / M.Tech Civil / Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 14+ yrs of Experience with experience in Hydro projects worked at least one detailed Engineering project of 50MW capacity and independently managed a team of Engineers and designers of Hydro Projects with consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning & design of medium/large hydro power projects
- Prepare independently layouts and tender documents for the above, bid evaluation, review.
of contractor's / designer's designs and drawings for Hydro Power Projects.
- Analysis, design, detailing, coordination & preparation of construction drawings related to hydro power structures like dams/barrages, underground structures, Powerhouse etc.,
- Feasibility and Due Diligence Studies.
- Familiarity with Indian, British, American and European Codes would be an added advantage.
- Analysis and design of RCC with various codes and standard Indian as well as international.
- Estimation of BOQ and preparation of drawing. Hands on experience in AutoCAD will be added advantage.
- Candidate should interact with client and site team to resolve the technical and project related issues. Review of MQP and FQP for the Civil works.
- Discussion with All Stakeholders involved in project.
Key Skills Required:
- Have strong technical skills and proven experience in hydro power design including experience in structural analysis using software like ANSYS, NISA, ETABS, STAAD Pro
- Experience in planning & design of medium/large hydropower schemes.
- Project Management Experience
- International experience would be an added advantage.
- Have good communication capabilities- oral, written and presentation skills.

Technical Competencies:
- Preparation of Technical specifications for various Packages
- Preparation / Review of Construction drawings for Buildings and Equipment structures.
- Design of Foundation Tunnel/ Hydro Projects.
- Preparation of Construction drawings for Power Transformer, Substation & Switchyard Structures.
