Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Sr. Manager - Accounts & Finance to lead and manage all financial aspects of our skincare business. This role is critical in ensuring financial health, driving strategy through insights, maintaining compliance, and supporting scalable growth across our product lines, retail channels, and e-commerce operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts payable/receivable, GL, and revenue recognition.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Maintain internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of records.
Cost & Margin Management
- Monitor product cost structures, pricing, and gross margins across channels (retail, D2C, distribution).
- Work closely with procurement and production to analyze and optimize costs.
Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage annual audits and tax filings.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Monitor daily cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Optimize receivables and payables to maintain liquidity.
ERP & Systems Management
- Implement and maintain finance modules in ERP (e.g., Tally, SAP, Zoho).
- Ensure accurate data flow across inventory, sales, and finance systems.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance and accounting professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.
- Experience: 5-10 years in accounting and finance, preferably in skincare, cosmetics, FMCG, or retail sector.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards (Ind AS), taxation, and compliance.
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of Tally/ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a high-growth D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) skincare or cosmetic brand.
- Familiarity with inventory-heavy business models and product lifecycle costing.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and e-commerce financial management.
