Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for a Senior Manager of Accounts & Finance. The role involves managing financial activities, overseeing account operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing financial reports, and developing strategies for financial growth. The Senior Manager will collaborate with various teams to provide insights and support for budget management, taxation, audits, and financial planning. The position is critical for ensuring financial discipline and aligning operations with organizational objectives.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Sr. Manager – Accounts & Finance to lead and manage end-to-end finance and accounting operations for Apparel Group GCC across multiple regions including UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman. The role will be responsible for overseeing all finance verticals including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets (FA), DSS, Taxation, VAT, Treasury, Compliance, Reporting, and Financial Controls.

The candidate will lead a large team of 150+ members consisting of Managers, Team Leads, Sr. Executives, Executives, and Interns through direct and dotted-line reporting structures while ensuring operational excellence, process compliance, and timely financial reporting across all GCC entities.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting Operations

  • Manage and oversee end-to-end accounting and finance activities across GCC regions.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of all finance verticals including AP, AR, GL, DSS, FA, Taxation, VAT, Treasury, and Financial Reporting.
  • Monitor daily accounting operations and ensure adherence to accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closures and ensure timely reporting.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet schedules.

Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of 150+ finance professionals across multiple hierarchy levels.
  • Handle direct and dotted-line reporting structures across regions and departments.
  • Drive team productivity, performance management, training, and succession planning.
  • Mentor Managers and Team Leads to achieve operational and organizational goals.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure preparation and review of MIS reports, financial statements, and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT regulations, taxation laws, and company policies across GCC countries.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Drive implementation and monitoring of SOPs, financial controls, and process improvements.

Business & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with regional finance teams and business stakeholders for operational support.
  • Support leadership with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions and organizational growth.
  • Manage escalations and ensure resolution of critical finance-related issues.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization within finance operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.
  • Ensure effective ERP utilization and support digital transformation initiatives within finance functions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Qualified CA.
  • 8–15+ years of experience in Accounts & Finance operations, preferably within Retail / FMCG / Shared Services / GCC environment.
  • Strong exposure to AP, AR, GL, FA, DSS, VAT, Taxation, Treasury, and Financial Reporting.
  • Experience in handling large teams and multi-country finance operations.
  • Strong knowledge of GCC VAT regulations and regional finance practices.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
