Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement storage solutions using NetApp technologies that align with our business requirements and objectives.
  • System Management: Manage and maintain NetApp storage systems, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Data Protection: Implement and manage data protection strategies, including backups, replication, and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard critical business data.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor storage performance and implement tuning measures to optimize system efficiency and reliability.
  • Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure sufficient storage resources are available to meet current and future demands.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of storage configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for storage-related issues, both during normal business hours and on-call as needed.
  • Upgrades and Patches: Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and firmware updates to keep storage systems up-to-date with the latest features and security fixes.
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to junior team members and other IT staff on storage technologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience with 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, such as CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Familiarity with VMware.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
