Job Description

Who are we – The organisation

ShikshaLokam is an initiative of Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives. As an education leadership catalyst, the organisation co-creates continuous learning and improvement programs and solutions for education leaders, along with government functionaries and civil society organisations.

ShikshaLokam orchestrates the coming together of diverse actors—government, civil society, market players, funders, philanthropists, media, and academia—to build Shikshagraha, a movement for education equity. This accelerates collective action for education system transformation at scale, with speed and sustainably.

Who are we – The movement

Shikshagraha is a people's movement towards education equity that brings together Samaaj (civil society), Sarkaar (government), Bazaar (markets) and Sanchaar (media) actors to improve all 1 million public schools in India.

As diverse stakeholders come together, it ensures large-scale, sustainable education change with speed. This is achieved through the decentralisation of decision-making in the public education system towards empowering education and local leaders to take charge, think independently, and drive change from the ground up.

The Shikshagraha movement will ensure that public schools become the best schools in the country for equitable access to education and opportunities. All children, irrespective of background, gender and abilities, are able to dream, learn, and succeed.
