We're looking for a Sr. Java Developer to maintain and enhance our Java-based applications. This role focuses primarily on maintenance projects and production support.
⚡ This role requires flexibility to provide weekend (from-home) support when urgent client queries or production issues arise.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance Java JSP/Servlet applications, ensuring stability, security, and performance.
- Implement bug fixes, upgrades, and performance optimizations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to analyze requirements and deliver solutions on time.
- Act as a primary contact for clients, handling queries, gathering requirements, and providing updates.
- Lead and mentor junior developers, perform code reviews, and enforce coding best practices.
- Drive the full software development lifecycle for maintenance projects, from requirement analysis to deployment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development methodologies, tools, and processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Core Java, JSP, and Servlets, with strong knowledge of Java concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proficiency in Spring (Spring Core, Spring Boot), Hibernate, and build tools like Maven (mandatory).
- Strong experience with relational databases (MS SQL Server, DB2, or MySQL).
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Proven ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues in large, production systems.
- Prior experience in client communication for requirement gathering and status updates.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to provide weekend/on-call support as needed.
