The role offers an opportunity to influence strategic cloud decisions, work on large-scale platforms, and design secure, scalable solutions across AWS and multi-cloud ecosystems

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to gather, analyze, and translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable cloud architecture solutions.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and governance of secure, resilient, and cost-optimized cloud architectures on AWS, with the ability to leverage Azure where required for multi-cloud strategies.
  • Play a hands-on role in architecture implementation, cloud migrations, and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless deployment and integration with existing enterprise systems.
  • Define and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation including architecture diagrams, HLDs, LLDs, reference designs, and implementation guidelines.
  • Ensure robust network design, security controls, firewall rules, IAM policies, and compliance adherence are embedded into the overall cloud architecture.
  • Drive DevSecOps adoption by embedding security and compliance into CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Design and optimize observability and monitoring solutions using AWS CloudWatch and Splunk to ensure system reliability, performance, and rapid issue resolution.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, security vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, proactively recommending improvements and innovations.

Qualifications

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years focused on cloud solutions, particularly AWS.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture best practices, design patterns, and principles for both AWS and Azure.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Strong expertise in cloud networking, including VPC architecture, load balancing, VPNs, routing, and firewall configurations.
  • Proven experience with cloud security, IAM, encryption, compliance, and governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and automation best practices.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business partners, service owners, and technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Good Understanding of Event Driven & Distributed Architecture.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Architect (Professional), Azure Solutions Architect, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
