Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Application Design & Architecture: Drive technical design discussions and own all design artifacts.
- Custom Development & Extensibility: Develop complex custom SAPUI5 applications from scratch and extend standard Fiori apps using in-app or side-by-side extensibility
- Backend Integration: Design and build OData services (V2/V4) and RESTful APIs
- Technical Leadership: Lead delivery teams, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers on coding best practices and performance optimization.
- Configuration & Deployment: Perform end-to-end Fiori landscape configuration, including Fiori Launchpad Designer, and manage deployments on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry) .
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the technical focal point, gathering business requirements and translating them into intuitive UI/UX solutions
- Joule: Explore how Joule can help to simplify and automate the Fiori developments and helps in clean core implementation.
- Experience with BTP extensions and side‑by‑side extensibility.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP Fiori Elements.
- Optimize Application performance, responsiveness, and usability.
- Debug and resolve UI, OData, and integration issues.
You will work extensively with ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, and the
RESTful ABAP Programming (RAP) model
Qualifications
Required Technical Skills
- Frontend Technologies: Mastery of SAPUI5, JavaScript (including ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and XML .
- Frameworks & Guidelines: Deep knowledge of MVC architecture, SAP Fiori Elements (Smart Controls, annotations), and SAP UX guidelines .
- Tools: Expertise in SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), VS Code, and SAP Web IDE .
- Backend & Cloud: Proficiency in SAP Gateway, S/4HANA architecture, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services .
- Security: Understanding of SAML, SSO, and secure access for cloud-based applications
Common Qualifications
- Experience: 6–8 years in SAP development, with at least 4–5 years dedicated to Fiori/UI5 projects .
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field .
- Project History: Proven track record of at least 2–5 full lifecycle SAP implementations or migration project
