About The Opportunity

A leading healthcare provider in India, Devdort operates across premium critical care and multi-specialty hospitals, delivering advanced life-support services to high-acuity patients in ICU, HDU, and emergency settings. We invest in clinical excellence, evidence-based protocols, and multidisciplinary care models—backed by state-of-the-art monitoring, ventilatory support, and rapid-response systems—to improve survival outcomes and recovery trajectories for the most critically ill. Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead bedside critical care management for adult and geriatric patients across ICU/HDU, including mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and sepsis protocols.
  • Direct daily multidisciplinary rounds with surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists to optimize clinical pathways and resource utilization.
  • Oversee code blue response, rapid ICU transfers, and escalation of care—ensuring timely interventions and compliance with ACLS/PALS standards.
  • Implement and audit critical care bundles including VAP, CLABSI, and ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention protocols.
  • Train junior intensivists and resident physicians in advanced airway management, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), and critical decision-making under pressure.
  • Participate in hospital-wide QI initiatives, mortality reviews, and development of ICU-specific treatment guidelines aligned with SCCM/ESICM standards.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • DNB/MD/Diploma in Critical Care Medicine or equivalent postgraduate qualification
  • ACLS certification (current and valid)
  • Experience with mechanical ventilation modes (invasive & non-invasive)
  • Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, PiCCO)
  • Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) for cardiac, pulmonary, and vascular assessment
  • Knowledge of sepsis bundles (Surviving Sepsis Campaign)

Preferred

  • ESICM or SCCM fellowship/training
  • Experience using ICU EMR systems (Cerner, Epic, or Meditech)
  • Publication or research background in critical care outcomes
