Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily mining activities in open-pit mines.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, mining laws, and company policies.
- Monitor drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, hauling, and other mining operations.
- Conduct workplace inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of mining equipment and machinery.
- Allocate tasks and manage work schedules for miners and operators.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, and operational logs.
- Train workers on safety procedures, equipment operation, and emergency response.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss events, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with engineers, geologists, surveyors, and maintenance teams to optimize production.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Diploma / Degree in Mining Engineering.
- 3–4 years of experience in mining operations.
- Knowledge of open-pit mining practices, safety regulations, and mining equipment.
- Strong supervisory, coordination, and team management skills.
- Ready to relocate to mines site.
