Finance at Nutanix
The R&D Finance Senior Analyst will be a part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at Nutanix. The FP&A team is a small, high-energy team that partners with business leaders across all functions. They provide analysis to support strategic decisions, conduct financial reviews, and manage financial processes such as planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking. The team is focused on driving financial insights and supporting the growth of the organization. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the R&D function, providing financial analysis and support for budgeting, resource planning and portfolio management.
Your Role
- Own R&D database inputs and headcount project allocation tools
- Improve tracking of CapEx investments and maintain depreciation waterfalls
- Prepare financial analysis for budget vs actuals by VP
- Coordinate regular business reviews with VPs and chief of staff
- Review monthly accruals and possess knowledge of opex/capex accruals
- Provide day-to-day business partnering to functional leaders
- Help develop annual plan and ongoing forecast for departmental expenses and headcount
- Think creatively and quickly with minimal direction and works well in a team environment
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or Accounting
- 10+ years of FP&A related experience
- Strong business and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think creatively and quickly
- Willingness to adjust to work with different time zones
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Tableau/Power BI skills
