About the Role
Kaygen Global Services is seeking an accomplished Senior Finance Manager with deep experience in the Indian staffing & workforce solutions industry. This leader will be accountable for end-to-end financial governance, including financial forecasting, budgeting, expense control, MIS reporting, AR/AP operations, and team leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, sharp analytical capabilities, and proven success in improving financial performance in a fast-paced staffing environment.
Role & responsibilities
1. Financial Planning, Forecasting & Analytics
- Lead annual and quarterly budgeting cycles, financial forecasting, and long-term financial modelling tailored for staffing operations.
- Conduct revenue forecasting based on bill rates, deployment trends, client ramp-up plans, and market fluctuations.
- Build forecasting dashboards and cost-control frameworks to support leadership in strategic decision-making.
- Provide variance analysis, trend insights, and action-oriented recommendations to improve profitability.
- Generate and review P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, MIS, and month-end financial closures with high accuracy.
2. Expense Control & Financial Governance
- Design and implement cost-optimization strategies across recruitment, payroll, vendor management, and project operations.
- Monitor operating expenses, project margins, recruiter productivity cost, and compliance-related spend.
- Ensure strong internal controls, reducing financial leakages and enhancing process transparency.
- Review and approve capex/opex, vendor contracts, and financial commitments.
3. AR/AP, Billing & Cash Flow Management
- Oversee end-to-end Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, proactive collection follow-up, and improved DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
- Manage AR aging reviews, credit risk assessments, and escalation mechanisms for overdue accounts.
- Supervise Accounts Payable, ensuring timely vendor payments, expense validation, and adherence to contractual terms.
- Enhance overall cash flow through disciplined working capital management.
- Support reconciliation, dispute resolution, credit control, and onboarding of new clients/vendors.
4. Team Development & Process Optimization
- Lead, mentor, and upskill a high-performing finance team across AR/AP, reporting, and compliance.
- Develop robust SOPs for finance operations, ensuring governance, accuracy, and process continuity.
- Drive automation and digital transformation in financial workflows (billing automation, forecasting tools, approval workflows).
- Collaborate closely with Recruitment, Delivery, Payroll, HR, Sales & Operations to ensure seamless financial integration.
5. Compliance, Audit & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards (US and India),, Tax terms, labor laws (US and India), and staffing industry statutory requirements (US and India),.
- Manage internal/external audits, ensuring zero non-compliance observations.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation and strengthen risk-control measures.
Liaise with external auditors, banks, insurance partners, and regulatory bodies as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably within the staffing or recruitment industry in India.
- Strong command over financial forecasting, budget management, cost control, AR/AP operations, MIS reports and compliances.
- Hands-on expertise with financial/accounting tools (QuickBooks, ZohoBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Tally, or similar platforms).
- Proven experience in managing lean finance teams and building scalable processes.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight timelines and evolving priorities.
