We have an opening for a Senior Export Compliance Manager at Honeywell Aerospace in Bangalore, India.
The role leads and develops a combined India and APAC team of export compliance professionals, with team members located in India, Malaysia, and Singapore. In addition to supervising the team, the Sr Export Compliance Manager will monitor developments in export control laws, implement best practices, liaise with relevant authorities on export-related matters, and reinforce compliance requirements through audit and assessment.
The role reports directly to the General Counsel, Export Compliance EMEAI and APAC
Responsibilities
Export Compliance Manager Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a combined India and APAC team of export compliance professionals, with team members located in India, Malaysia, and Singapore.
- Monitor developments of, and compliance with, export control laws and regulations applicable across India and the APAC region.
- Design and implement policies, procedures, process improvements, and best practices.
- Improve business results (revenue, working capital, on-time delivery) through pro-active management of export licenses.
- Facilitate professional growth and development of team members.
- Liaise with government officials and build strong government relations.
- Support the development and management of export controls to ensure compliance.
- Support business processes for submitting and obtaining all necessary export authorizations, licenses, and permits.
- Support the law department in investigating and resolving compliance issues, questions, or complaints.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in export compliance
- Advanced level of English
- JD or Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, or other relevant field
- Familiarity with U.S. export control laws and regulations
- Familiarity with export control laws and regulations of at least of the following jursidictions: India, Malaysia, or Singapore

- Experience in drafting reports, presentations, and executive communications.
- Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, well-organized, highly motivated.
- Ability to identify and resolve potential problems in a timely manner.
- Proficiency in MS Office products.
- Knowledge of SAP/GTS.
