Job Description
As a Technical Purchase Executive, you will be the driving force behind our technology procurement efforts. You will leverage your technical expertise to ensure we acquire solutions at the best value. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy:
- Evaluate and select suppliers of technical products and services, considering quality, cost, and reliability.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to understand their needs and develop effective procurement strategies.
- Market Intelligence:
- Continuously monitor market trends, product advancements, and pricing fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions.
- Procurement Execution:
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from vendor selection to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
- Establish and cultivate strong supplier relationships to ensure dependable supply chains and quality assurance.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.
- Maintain precise procurement records, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain a database of approved suppliers, evaluate offers, and negotiate the best pricing. Create contracts with vendors to optimize terms and agreements.
- Monitor purchase requests, open purchase orders, lead times, and deliveries. Efficiently manage inventory through demand planning for sourcing and distribution of required parts and accessories. Proficient in warehouse processes, receiving, storage, and inventory management. Maintain accurate records of purchase requisition forms.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery and track vendor payments.
- Verify all purchased or received parts against supplier invoices, checking for correct quantity and quality.
- Take responsibility for regularizing any transactions that deviate from the inventory management system due to specific business requirements as soon as possible.
- Reporting and Compliance:
- Generate MIS reports for open purchase orders, lead times, pricing, and purchase product quality.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations governing technical procurement.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain a commitment to self-improvement, constantly seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Conduct supplier performance assessments and initiate corrective actions as needed to ensure optimal supplier relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, engineering, or business.
- Proven track record in technical procurement, preferably within a technology-intensive industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and technical acumen.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with relevant procurement regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
