Education : B.Tech/M.Sc in Polymer Science, Paint Technology, or Chemistry.

Experience : Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience

Industry preferences : Paints, Coatings, or Construction Chemicals

Language : English, Local Language (Optional)

Age : Up to 32 Years

Role Description

  • To lead the development and optimization of high performance Epoxy and Polyurethane (PU) flooring systems.
  • Product Development: Lead the formulation of self-levelling epoxies, PU coatings, screeds, primers, and EPU (Epoxy-PU) hybrid systems
  • Performance Testing: Conduct rigorous testing for mechanical properties and physical properties of flooring products.
  • Cost Optimization: Re-engineer existing formulations to improve cost-efficiency without compromising quality or durability.
  • Troubleshooting: Analyse and resolve application oriented -site issues.
  • Compliance: Ensure all products meet VOC regulations and industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, or IS codes).
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and source new raw materials (resins, curing agents, pigments, and additives) from global and local suppliers.
  • Capable of resolving market as well as internal customer complaints.
  • Extends support to sales and marketing team.

Desired Candidate Profile

Candidate should be experience in the relevant industry for minimum 4 years.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of resin chemistry, hardeners, and industrial application standards.

Expertise in epoxies and isocyanate-based PU systems.

Hands-on experience with specialized additives like defoamers, levelling agents, and UV stabilizers. Proficiency in operating lab equipment (Viscometers, Gloss meters, DSC, TGA).

Knowledge of Industrial Flooring requirements (Anti-static, ESD, Cleanroom, and Heavy-duty floors). Proven track record in a reputed paint or construction chemical brand.

Strong analytical mind-set with a focus on First Time Right (FTR) development.

Ability to mentor junior chemists and collaborate with the manufacturing team for scale-ups.
