Sr. Environmental Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage testing programs to ensure Restricted Substances List (RSL) compliance for textile, leather apparels, footwear, and accessories sourced from India and neighboring countries.
• Lead chemical and environmental management initiatives across the supply chain, from raw materials to finished products.
• Oversee the Sustainable Material Program, tracking and implementing the use of sustainable materials within the supply chain.
• Roll out and implement chemical/environmental management programs such as the HIGG Index, supporting suppliers in meeting long-term sustainability goals.
• Approve and audit wet processing sites including textile mills, laundries, and leather tanneries to ensure they meet client requirements and standards.
• Manage the Preferred Supplier Program for raw materials, including fabric mills and trims/accessories suppliers.
• Support client suppliers by addressing issues related to wet processing and helping overcome associated challenges.
• Expand supply chain penetration by tracking and evaluating tier 2 (fabric) suppliers to develop a safe and reliable supplier base.
• Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories, periodically evaluating their performance to ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
