About the Role

The Senior Engineer – Project Management will be responsible for the smooth execution of assigned projects while supporting the Project Manager in maintaining project constraints related to cost, time, scope, and quality. The incumbent will coordinate cross-functional activities, ensure timely project execution, manage customer communication, and take ownership of projects from the Customer Order Review Board (CORB) stage until commercial closure.

Responsibilities

  • Update project financials in ERP systems and continuously monitor project performance. Provide monthly project progress reports to management and customers.
  • Support Project Managers in project planning, scheduling, cost control, and revenue planning.
  • Participate in project progress review meetings with customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, quality assurance, procurement, production, shipping, and finance functions to ensure successful project execution.
  • Prepare and transmit drawings, datasheets, calculations, procedures, test reports, progress reports, and contractual documentation.
  • Follow up with customers on document approvals and revisions as required.
  • Support Project Managers during project review meetings.
  • Prepare billing plans and obtain customer approvals.
  • Monitor project deliverables and documentation.
  • Manage billing submissions and payment receivables.
  • Provide post-commissioning support to customers.
  • Travel to customer locations and project sites as required.

Critical Competencies for Success

Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of IFS/SAP systems preferred.
  • MS Project knowledge is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of project planning, scheduling, cost control, and contract execution.
  • Educational Qualification

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Metallurgy Engineering.
    • Experience5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in project management, project coordination, or related functions.

    Professional Certifications

    • PMP Certification preferred.
