Note: This role is not for Fomogo, but one of our clients, CredO
About Cred-O
Cred-O is building the next generation of AI-driven cybersecurity and intelligence platforms for enterprise and industrial environments. Our products secure real-world systems across cloud, edge, and embedded layers using AI, policy-driven architectures, and high-performance systems.
We work with enterprise customers at production scale and are solving problems at the intersection of systems, security, and machine intelligence.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Engineer – Product Development to build systems that evaluate, interpret, and govern security across embedded and IoT environments.
This role sits at the intersection of:
- Device-level signals
- Security posture evaluation
- Real-time intelligence systems
You will work across device → protocol → cloud → intelligence, building systems that understand how machines behave and assess their security in real time.
What You'll Work On
1. Device Evaluation & Telemetry Intelligence
- Ingest, decode, and normalize telemetry from embedded and automotive systems
- Interpret signals from CAN bus, ECU data, and telematics units
- Build systems to detect anomalies, deviations, and risk signals
2. Security Posture Evaluation
- Build systems that evaluate device and system security posture, including:
- Identity and authentication mechanisms
- Communication security (e.g., TLS/mTLS usage)
- Firmware integrity and runtime behavior
- Translate security concepts like:
- PKI and device identity
- Secure boot and chain of trust
- into evaluation logic and signals, not implementations
3. Protocols & Connectivity
- Work with data flowing through:
- MQTT, HTTP/S, TCP/IP, WebSockets
- Automotive protocols like CAN and UDS (preferred)
- Build ingestion and normalization layers across heterogeneous device ecosystems
4. Device Lifecycle & OTA Awareness
- Understand and evaluate:
- OTA update mechanisms and rollout patterns
- Firmware lifecycle risks
- Device lifecycle states (provisioning → active → update → decommission)
5. Real-Time Intelligence Systems
- Convert device and protocol-level signals into real-time security intelligence
- Build systems that:
- Trigger alerts, actions, or policy decisions
- Enable visibility and control across distributed environments
6. Cloud & Distributed Systems
- Build backend systems for:
- High-throughput telemetry ingestion
- Real-time processing and decisioning
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) for scalable, reliable pipelines
What We're Looking For
Core Systems Engineering
- Strong experience in Go, Python, Rust, or C++
- Good understanding of:
- Linux systems
- Networking fundamentals
- Concurrency and distributed systems
IoT & Embedded Systems (Critical)
- Understanding of embedded system behavior and constraints
- Experience working with:
- Device telemetry
- CAN bus / ECU communication (preferred)
- Telematics systems
Security Understanding (Must-Have)
- Strong conceptual understanding of:
- PKI, certificates, and device identity
- TLS / mTLS communication
- Secure boot and firmware validation
- Device-level threat models
- Ability to reason about security posture, not necessarily implement security primitives
Protocols & Data Systems
- Experience with:
- MQTT, HTTP/S, TCP/IP
- Message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ
- Ability to work across multiple protocols and data sources
Cloud & Streaming Systems
- Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP
- Understanding of:
- Event-driven architectures
- Data pipelines and real-time systems
Good to Have
- Exposure to OTA systems and firmware lifecycle
- Experience with automotive or telematics ecosystems
- Familiarity with observability, detection, or security monitoring systems
- Experience in cybersecurity or systems products
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- You think in systems and signals, not just services
- You can reason across device → network → cloud layers
- You have a security-first mindset, with strong fundamentals
- You are comfortable working in ambiguity and building from first principles
- You take ownership and drive problems to production
Why This Role Matters
You will be building:
- A platform that understands and evaluates machine behavior in real time
- Systems that enable security visibility, compliance, and control across IoT environments
- Core intelligence layers powering Cred-O's platform
Why Join Cred-O
- Work on deep tech problems at the intersection of AI, security, and systems
- Build systems grounded in real-world machine behavior
- High ownership, high impact, and steep learning curve
- Opportunity to help define how IoT systems are evaluated and secured at scale
