Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical construction activities at project sites, ensuring alignment with project timelines and milestones.
- Interpret mechanical design drawings, specifications, and technical documents to guide construction work accurately.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment such as boilers, turbines, pumps, piping systems, and other critical power plant components.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, civil and electrical engineering teams, procurement, quality assurance, and safety departments to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards on-site, fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence.
- Identify potential construction challenges or technical issues and implement timely corrective actions to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify workmanship quality and compliance with design specifications.
- Prepare detailed progress reports, documentation, and technical records to update project stakeholders and facilitate decision-making.
- Facilitate communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring that mechanical construction materials and equipment are delivered and utilized efficiently.
- Participate in value engineering discussions and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize construction processes and resource utilization.
- Support commissioning activities by verifying mechanical system functionality, troubleshooting problems, and providing technical guidance during startup.
- Assist in the development of project schedules, resource allocation plans, and risk mitigation strategies related to mechanical construction tasks.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and site technicians, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications
Education Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
Experience
Minimum 4 -7 years of experience in mechanical construction engineering within the power/Steel and heavy construction industry.
