NRT seeks an experienced Aerospace Structural Analysis Engineer to lead and execute, structural analysis and testing, using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the structural analysis team to conduct analysis of air vehicles and ground systems.
- Discern the right level of analysis to apply to meet the requirements (static, dynamic, modal, thermal, inertia relief, aero-elastic, buckling, thermal for composite, metal and plastic components & assemblies).
- Quantify and document load cases and environments.
- Execute hand calculations and first-order models prior to undertaking detailed analysis.
- Support the design, instrumentation selection, execution and data analysis of ground and flight tests to validate models and predictions, including static, dynamic, shock, and fatigue tests. Translate analysis/ test results into actionable design recommendations and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead trade studies and mass optimization efforts to improve the design.
- Collaborate with other hardware engineering disciplines and guide design decisions based on analysis results.
- Ensure design, analyses and testing meet certification requirements.
