General Summary
Join Qualcomm's Audio Systems Group and contribute to the development and implementation of advanced audio and speech signal processing solutions. You will participate in the entire engineering lifecycle—from algorithm design to performance optimization—enabling innovative audio technologies on next-generation Snapdragon platforms for mobile, XR, compute, IoT, and automotive applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement audio DSP algorithms for various Audio applications
- Prototype, test, and optimize audio solutions using both traditional signal processing and machine learning techniques.
- Analyze, evaluate, and validate audio subsystem performance to ensure robustness, power efficiency, and stability on Qualcomm platforms.
- Implement, test, and debug fixed-point and floating-point algorithms, including ML-based audio features.
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D, systems, and integration teams to verify use cases and support commercialization.
- Participate in acoustic performance testing and assist in demo prototyping.
- Document work and communicate effectively with local and global teams.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of audio signal processing.
- Understanding of Audio Codecs such as AAC, SBC..
- Experience in developing and debugging audio algorithms using signal processing and/or ML approaches.
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++, Matlab, and Python.
- Familiarity with DSP intrinsic and assembly programming.
- Familiarity with embedded platforms, DSP architectures, and real-time operating systems.
- Understanding of both fixed-point and floating-point implementation.
- Ability to contribute to audio system design, acoustic measurements, and performance analysis.
- Good verbal and written communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on familiarity with audio features, audio encoders and decoders
- Exposure to Qualcomm Audio framework, SDKs, and development tools.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Communications, Electrical, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
