Job Description

Key Role & Responsibilities

  • Procurement of castings, forgings, machined parts, piping, pipe fittings & fabricated assemblies
  • Identify and develop suppliers as per Indian Railways approved vendor directory
  • Drive cost-effective sourcing while ensuring quality and timely delivery
  • Build strong supplier relationships and lead commercial negotiations
  • Monitor vendor performance (quality, cost, delivery) and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, QA, Production) for smooth execution

Key Skills Required

  • 5-10 Experience in Railway / Bogie / Heavy Engineering procurement
  • Strong negotiation and vendor development skills
  • Knowledge of Indian Railways vendor approval system
  • Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills
