Join Lam as an Electrical Engineer and you'll be at the forefront, designing and developing electronic solutions for advanced applications. Your role involves designing and analyzing equipment, conducting experimental tests, evaluating results to create reliable cutting-edge solutions.
There is an opening for the role of Sr. Electrical Engineer (Electrical Engineer 2) within the Customer Support Business Group (CSBG) of LIGHT (Lam India Global Hardware Technology) organization. This position will be based out of Bangalore and will closely be working with the Engineering & Cross functional teams across global regions of Lam Research like US & India. CSBG mainly focuses on delivering value to customers throughout the product lifecycle by providing Spares, Upgrades and services to maximize the value of customer capital assets.
This high energy individual will focus on development and support for Productivity and Technology Upgrades to our global customers through Engineering projects (EPLs/PPLs), for Dextro, Deposition and Etch product lines. Meet Corporate metrics and goals set to achieve excellence and deliver fast solutions to our global Customer. Also, collaborate with various global product and field support teams to address issues.
Educational Qualification & Relevant Exp. Guidance
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in electrical engineering or electrical & electronics engineering with minimum of 4 to 7 years of related experience; or master's degree with minimum 2 to 5 years of experience
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing professional electrical engineering research, design, development, modification, and testing in support of electrical systems and / or power distribution and generation
- Work with a multidisciplinary engineering design team: electrical, mechanical, software/firmware, technical support, productivity engineers, and suppliers, on design, modification.
- Creates electrical schematics and system based on requirements and creates/releases engineering drawings & bill of materials
- Maintain and develop process checkpoints to ensure adherence to design standards & schedules and work with leadership peers to drive process improvements as necessary.
- Learn Products, PDR processes & DFMEA principles and Owns PDR tasks/Simple sub-system/medium complex CIP/Medium complex designs using appropriate project management tools.
- Outstanding analysis and proven trouble-shooting skills and ability to drive functional requirements & execute in a dynamic team environment
- Update stakeholders on deliverables & timelines including Global stakeholders
Mandatory Skills And Experience Required To Perform The Job
- Proficient in concept design and Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation required
- Understanding of cable harness, Electrical Modules manufacturing, assembly and testing
- Working experience in electronic/ Electrical circuit design and development like AUTOCAD, ORCAD, Zuken E3.
- Familiar with different design standards and compliances like NEC, NFPA, UL 508, IEC standard, IPC 620/CID, SEMI Standard (Electrical)
- Excellent communication, and presentation skills to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, internal and external partners
Desirable Skill
- Experience with capital equipment, Electrical control/Power box or similar (for e.g., process industries, aircraft, Robotics etc.) industry in a sub-system / module design project
- Experience in selection of components, setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices
- Knowledge about Change Management Process & Robotics preferred
- Experience of power distribution and/or control system design of systems
- Good communication skills and experience of working in cross-functional teams in a matrix organization

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
