Xperteez Technology is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong expertise in Water & Wastewater Treatment, STP, and RO projects.

Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Experience: 8+ years preferred | Minimum 5+ years in Water & Wastewater Treatment

Location: Chennai

Industry: STP / Water Treatment / RO

Department: Engineering

Qualification: BE/B.Tech – Electrical Engineering preferred

• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and instrument schedules.
• Provide inputs for control philosophies and electrical design.
• Perform power & control cable sizing, cable tray layouts, voltage-drop calculations, and load balancing.
• Prepare control philosophy and electrical design documentation.
• Prepare material submittals and provide technical inputs for shop drawings.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
• Develop testing and commissioning method statements.
• Prepare O&M manuals and related engineering documentation.
• Plan and design LV/MV systems, including MCCs, transformers, and fire alarm systems.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Design energy-efficient motor control systems using VFDs, soft starters, and related technologies.
• Coordinate with engineering, process, instrumentation, civil, and project teams for smooth project execution.

• Strong electrical design experience in Water & Wastewater Treatment / STP / RO projects.
• Hands-on knowledge of MCC, transformers, VFDs, soft starters, cabling, and electrical distribution systems.
• Experience with electrical calculations, technical documentation, and commissioning.
• Good understanding of applicable electrical standards and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
