Senior Drupal Frontend Engineer

Location: Remote (India), Full-Time

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Drupal Front-End Engineer to join our global engineering

team. This is a high-impact Individual Contributor role where versatility is key.

While your core expertise lies in advanced Drupal theming and architecture, you will also need

the technical flexibility to switch to modern Front-End tasks (React, Next.js) when business

needs change. You will work directly with our global team, delivering pixel-perfect,

high-performance web experiences for major brands.

The Team

Join a team of 50+ engineers building next-generation digital experiences. This isn't a

maintenance role - you will be building new features, refactoring legacy code, and bridging the

gap between traditional CMS development and modern Headless architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Drupal Development
  • Develop and maintain high-quality Drupal 10/11 themes using Twig, SASS, and

modern build workflows (Webpack/Vite).

  • Implement complex UI designs with a focus on responsiveness, accessibility

(WCAG), and performance.

  • Collaborate with other developers to structure content types, views, and block

layouts that support flexible front-end theming.

  • Work with Component-Driven Design principles (e.g., Storybook, Pattern Lab)

to create/support reusable UI libraries.

  • Hybrid Front-End Versatility
  • Context Switching: Seamlessly transition to non-Drupal projects when required,

working on features in React, Next.js, or TypeScript.

  • Support Decoupled or Headless Drupal initiatives by consuming

REST/JSON:API endpoints in a modern JavaScript frontend.

  • Maintain consistency in coding standards regardless of the framework (Drupal or

React)

  • Code Quality & Collaboration
  • Write clean, documented, and efficient code that respects Core Web Vitals (LCP,

CLS).

  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers to maintain

codebase health.

  • Proactive Communication: actively communicate status, blockers, and

questions to US/EU stakeholders via Slack and Jira. You don't wait to be asked;

you keep the team informed.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Core

  • 5+ years of front-end development experience.
  • 3+ years specialized experience in Drupal Front-End (Theming, Twig, Site Building).

- Strong proficiency in Modern JavaScript (ES6+). You aren't just a jQuery developer -

you understand modern JS concepts.

  • Solid understanding of React (or similar frameworks) and the ability to write functional

components and handle hooks.

  • Expertise in CSS preprocessors (SASS/SCSS) and responsive design frameworks

(Tailwind or Bootstrap).

  • Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, and package managers (NPM/Yarn/Composer).

Professional Attributes

  • Self-Starter: You can take a ticket, analyze the requirements, and deliver the solution

with minimal supervision.

  • Clear Communicator: Strong written and verbal English is essential. You can articulate

technical complexities to Product Managers and other developers clearly.

  • Adaptable: You are comfortable shifting gears between a monolithic Drupal site and a

modern React application as project priorities evolve.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Next.js and Headless CMS concepts.
  • Knowledge of utility-first CSS (Tailwind) and modern state management (Redux,

Zustand).

  • Exposure to headless CMS, composable commerce, or authentication solutions

(NextAuth.js).

  • Familiarity with Next.js App Router, React Server Components, or edge computing.

What We Offer

  • Remote work with a flexible schedule.
  • Opportunities to shape architectural decisions and mentor peers.
  • Exposure to Fortune 500 brands and cutting-edge web technologies.

Apply If You...

  • Are a Drupal expert who loves the CMS but doesn't want to get left behind by the

modern JavaScript revolution.

  • Take pride in pixel-perfect implementation and clean code.
  • Want to work with a global team that values technical excellence and autonomy.

Join us to build the future of high-performance web experiences while growing as a technical

leader.
