The Senior Director – IT Business Partner for India, Middle East, & Rest of Asia is a strategic leadership role responsible for partnering closely with the Building Automation leadership teams across India, Middle East, and Rest of Asia to enable business outcomes through technology, digital innovation, and operational excellence.

This role serves as the primary IT interface for the regional organization, ensuring strong alignment between regional business priorities, Honeywell Global Digital & IT (GDM), and the Building Automation IT strategy. The role requires a leader who can operate effectively in a high-growth, highly diverse regional landscape, while building a strong, scalable, and future-ready IT organization.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted technology and digital advisor to BA regional leadership across India, Middle East, and Rest of Asia.
  • Translate regional BA growth, customer, and operational strategies into clear IT demand, roadmaps, and investment priorities.
  • Shape and influence business decisions by providing technology insights, trade-off analysis, and risk perspectives.
  • Drive technology enablement for regional growth, localization needs, regulatory requirements, and customer experience.

IT Strategy Alignment & Delivery

  • Ensure strong alignment of regional IT priorities with global BA IT and GDM strategies, standards, and architecture.
  • Lead execution of enterprise and BA-specific IT initiatives, including ERP, digital platforms, analytics, cloud, cybersecurity, and OT/IT integration.
  • Balance regional responsiveness with global standardization, ensuring scalable and compliant solutions.
  • Partner with GDM, COEs, and global IT teams to prioritize initiatives, manage dependencies, and ensure delivery discipline.

People Leadership & Organization Building

  • Build, lead, and continuously strengthen a high-performing IT organization across the regions, including India and Middle East hubs.
  • Provide direct people leadership with accountability for talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Develop strong regional IT leadership bench strength, coaching senior leaders and high-potential talent.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Governance, Stakeholder & Financial Management

  • Establish and operate effective IT governance, demand management, and investment review mechanisms across the region.
  • Ensure disciplined budget management, cost optimization, and vendor performance management.
  • Drive transparency in IT performance, value realization, and risk management with regional and global stakeholders.

Operational Excellence, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure reliable, secure, and resilient IT services supporting BA sales, services, engineering, and operations across the regions.
  • Champion cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance, including region-specific requirements.
  • Proactively manage operational, delivery, and third-party risks in a complex multi-country environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including senior roles as an IT Business Partner or equivalent.
  • Strong experience working with senior business leaders in global or regional roles, preferably in high-growth markets.
  • Solid background in enterprise applications, digital platforms, cybersecurity, and IT governance.
  • Demonstrated people management experience, including leading leaders and building regional organizations.
  • Experience in Building Automation, Industrial, Smart Buildings, or B2B technology environments strongly preferred.
