Position Description

PAR is seeking a Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer to design, build, and optimize the tooling, automation, and processes that power the delivery, stability, and scalability of our Salesforce platform supporting global sales operations. This role partners closely with Salesforce Developers, Administrators, Product Management, QA, and external consulting partners to enable reliable deployments, strong governance, and high-performing Salesforce environments within a highly integrated enterprise ecosystem.

The Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer is a critical technical contributor who maximizes the value of Salesforce by driving automation, release engineering, environment strategy, and operational excellence across the platform.

Working alongside Product and Engineering teams, you will support end-to-end solution deliveryfrom design and development through testing, deployment, and post-release supportwhile enabling Agile/Scrum execution and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Architect, implement, and own Salesforce DevOps and release engineering processes across multiple environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Staging, Production)
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce using modern DevOps tools and frameworks
  • Manage source control strategy, branching models, environment promotion, and deployment automation
  • Define and maintain sandbox and environment strategies, including refreshes and environment health
  • Support Sales Cloudcentric implementations, with exposure to Service Cloud and eCommerce Cloud a plus
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute deployments, hotfixes, and release schedules with minimal business impact
  • Partner with Developers and Admins to ensure Apex, Flows, configurations, and metadata adhere to deployment, quality, and governance standards
  • Enforce Salesforce DevOps best practices related to version control, change management, testing, and release readiness
  • Support Agile/Scrum delivery by participating in sprint planning, release planning, and retrospectives
  • Perform proactive platform maintenance including Salesforce Release Updates, Security Reviews, Health Checks, and Optimizer recommendations
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve platform performance, deployment reliability, and operational stability
  • Support integration deployments leveraging REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, and event-driven architectures
  • Assist with data migrations, large-scale data loads, and synchronization activities as part of release cycles
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship on DevOps tooling, automation, and processes
  • Participate in post-release validation, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:

  • Strong hands-on experience as a Salesforce DevOps Engineer in an enterprise environment
  • Expert-level experience supporting Salesforce Sales Cloud; Service Cloud and eCommerce Cloud experience is a plus
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce metadata, packaging, dependencies, and deployment mechanics
  • Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using version control systems (e.g., Git) and Salesforce deployment tools
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration including Flows, approval processes, assignment rules, fields, record types, page layouts, apps, dashboards, and reports
  • Experience managing Salesforce security models including profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, OWD, and public groups
  • Familiarity with Salesforce APIs, integrations, middleware, and event-based architectures
  • Ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable DevOps and release strategies
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to deployments, environment issues, and platform performance
  • Salesforce certification(s) preferred (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, DevOps-related certifications)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technology-related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 58 years of experience working with Salesforce, with significant focus on DevOps, CI/CD, and release engineering
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and business teams
  • A continuous learner, automation-minded engineer, and collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
