Since 2011, our mission hasn't changed - we're here to stop breaches, and we've redefined modern security with the world's most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day and this traffic is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We're also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. Ready to join a mission that matters The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

CrowdStrike's engineering organization depends on shared infrastructure platforms that power critical product capabilities. These platforms need dedicated engineering ownership to operate reliably, scale safely, harden for security, and mature into self-service capabilities that teams can depend on.

You'll own production infrastructure that spans multiple cloud providers and regions, serving engineering teams across the organization. The work is equal parts platform engineering and operational excellence - building automation, hardening security, establishing governance, and enabling consuming teams to adopt these platforms effectively. You'll also help shape what comes next as the team's scope grows.

We're hiring at all seniority levels - scope and compensation adjust accordingly.

What You'll Do:

  • Operate and manage production infrastructure - deploy, upgrade, scale, and maintain stateful platform services across a multi-cloud, multi-region Kubernetes fleet own the health of what you run

  • Build control planes - develop the automation, APIs, and tooling that make provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and scaling safe, repeatable, and eventually self-service

  • Own capacity planning and cost optimization - right-size clusters, track resource utilization, forecast growth, and drive infrastructure cost efficiency make sure we're not over-provisioned or under-prepared

  • Build and maintain observability for your infrastructure - instrument the platforms you manage with metrics, dashboards, and alerts that surface real problems build runbooks that make on-call actionable

  • Run on-call and incident response - be on the rotation, respond to pages, drive incidents to resolution, write postmortems, and turn recurring issues into automation or architecture changes

  • Automate everything you touch - deployments, upgrades, schema migrations, certificate rotations, scaling decisions, failover procedures if you're doing it by hand more than once, automate it

  • Harden security - implement authentication, authorization, encryption, secret rotation, and network policies keep dependencies patched and CVEs remediated

  • Plan and execute disaster recovery - backup strategies, failover testing, cross-region resilience make sure critical platforms can survive infrastructure failures

  • Enable consuming teams - golden path patterns, configuration templates, and hands-on support that help engineering teams adopt platform capabilities reliably

  • Partner across Infrastructure, SRE, and Data Services - the platforms you own sit on top of compute, databases, and networking managed by other teams work closely with them on shared operational concerns

What You'll Need:

  • Strong expertise operating stateful distributed systems on Kubernetes - not just deploying stateless apps you've managed multi-component, stateful services in production and understand the operational complexity that comes with it

  • Infrastructure-as-code fluency - you manage infrastructure through version-controlled, reproducible automation, not manual configuration

  • GitOps and CI/CD experience - you've used declarative, git-driven deployment workflows to manage infrastructure at scale

  • Database operations experience - schema management, backup/restore, connection management, and performance tuning for relational databases

  • Security as a first-class concern - encryption, authentication, authorization, secret management, network policies you implement security, not just audit it

  • Multi-cloud or multi-region operational experience - you've managed infrastructure that spans providers or regions and understand the complexity that introduces

  • 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering, with meaningful experience operating distributed systems at scale

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience operating workflow orchestration platforms in production

  • Experience operating distributed tracing or telemetry collection infrastructure

  • Go proficiency - the platforms and consuming services are primarily written in Go

  • Experience building internal developer platforms - self-service tooling, golden path patterns, onboarding automation

  • Background in disaster recovery and failover automation for stateful systems

  • Previous work at a cybersecurity or high-availability SaaS company
