Overview
We are looking for a Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer with a strong background in software development, AWS cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, and Developer Experience (DevEx) to help design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly reliable systems. You will play a key role in shaping our cloud platform, security posture, and developer infrastructure as the company scales.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, infrastructure, security, and developer productivity, building automated platforms that allow teams to ship software safely and quickly.
Experience working in startup environments or highly regulated industries such as finance, telecommunication or healthcare is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve cloud architecture, platform infrastructure, and deployment strategies to support scalable and secure distributed systems
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK (Python, Go, or TypeScript)
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable deployments
- Implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security controls into infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows
- Implement monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing using OpenTelemetry
- Improve Developer Experience (DevEx) by building internal tools, improving deployment workflows, and reducing friction for engineering teams
- Work closely with software engineers to improve build systems, testing pipelines, and development workflows
- Design and support secure authentication and authorization systems, including OAuth-based integrations
- Improve system security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments
- Optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production issues
- Manage and operate containerized workloads using Amazon ECS/EKS and/or Kubernetes
- Document infrastructure architecture and operational processes
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services
- Hands-on experience with AWS CDK using Python, Go, or TypeScript
- Background in software development
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub or GitLabs)
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with containerization (Docker)
- Experience with Amazon ECS and/or Kubernetes
- Experience implementing observability solutions using OpenTelemetry
- Experience implementing security controls in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure
- Experience integrating OAuth-based authentication systems
- Experience improving developer workflows and engineering productivity
- Experience with Linux-based systems
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems

- Experience working in startups or fast-moving engineering teams
- Experience in highly regulated industries, such as:
- Finance / FinTech
- Healthcare & Medical / HealthTech, MedTech
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
- Security certifications, such as:
- AWS Security Specialty
- CISSP
- Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
- CompTIA Security+, CEH, etc..
- Experience managing production systems at scale
- Experience with security automation and cloud governance
- Experience building internal developer platforms or DevEx tooling
