Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Design Manager located in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Senior Design Manager will lead end-to-end design processes for paddy processing equipment, oversee the design team, and ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements. Responsibilities include conceptualizing and executing innovative design solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, reviewing technical drawings, and mentoring junior designers. The role also involves staying updated on emerging industry trends and implementing improvements to optimize efficiency and performance.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in mechanical design, including CAD software, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience in design project management, team leadership, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment manufacturing, particularly in food processing or related industries.
- Problem-solving, creativity, and innovation in design for complex systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, including working with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Familiarity with sustainable practices and energy-efficient design is an advantage.
- Proven experience in a similar design management role, preferably within the rice or agricultural processing machinery sector.
