Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines leveraging GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL.
2. Implement robust ETL processes and automate data workflows to ensure data availability and high performance for analytics teams.
3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
4. Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing data systems, ensuring reliability and data integrity at all times.
5. Develop documentation and maintain best practices for data engineering processes and data governance.
6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data platforms and support adoption of new cloud technologies.
7. Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms within a dynamic, fast-paced team setting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. 4-7 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong background in GCP development.
3. Hands-on expertise with BigQuery, GCP Cloud Storage, GCP Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL.
4. Experience building, managing, and scaling ETL pipelines and data architectures on cloud platforms.
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results under tight timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Knowledge or experience with data translation solutions is a plus.
2. Exposure to advanced cloud data security and compliance practices.
3. Prior experience in fast-paced, customer-driven environments.
