What Impact You'll Make
As a Senior Data Engineer on the Steam Power Data & Analytics team, you will play a technical role in building robust data pipelines and reporting solutions on the Steam Data Lake platform. You will operate in a fast-paced Agile environment, ensuring end-to-end ownership of your solutions from design through deployment and support. You will partner with product owners and business stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solution. You will own and deliver D&A solutions and actively contribute to GenAI use cases for Steam Power Business. Ability to lead a small team of developers through E2E programs of varying size and complexity.
Job Description
What you'll do
- Demonstrate E2E ownership of key initiatives for SP business and accountable to deliver results in a timely manner
- Build automated (ETL) pipeline based on requirements using tools like Informatica or Talend
- Hands-on experience in writing SQL scripts, data modelling (Oracle/PostgreSQL)
- Exposure to reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire
- Knowledge of R, Python, AI/ML will be a big plus
- Conduct exploratory data analysis & Identify data quality issues proactively
- Ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., ERP, SFDC, SP Business teams) and understand the inter-dependencies between them
- Ability to showcase teamwork & influencing skills to achieve common goals, provide resolutions and share ideas
- Participate in Kaizens to support SP Business with IT decision making
What You'll Bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
- Min 5 + years hands on experience in the Data & Analytics space.
