We are seeking an experienced
Senior Data Architect with
10+ years of expertise in designing enterprise-scale data ecosystems, building advanced ETL/ELT architectures, and leading data platform modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on knowledge of PySpark, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and GCP, along with the ability to drive strategic data decisions and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and governance of large-scale, resilient data platforms and solutions.
- Architect and oversee complex ETL/ELT pipelines and high-volume data processing frameworks.
- Drive advanced data modeling, transformation logic, and scalable workflows using PySpark and Databricks.
- Establish and enforce enterprise-wide data governance, security standards, and metadata practices using Unity Catalog.
- Optimize data architecture for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency across GCP environments.
- Partner with engineering, BI, analytics, and business teams to shape long-term data strategies and platform roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and best practices to data engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve architecture-level issues across pipelines, integration layers, and cloud infrastructure.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and architectural patterns that align with business goals.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or cloud data platform roles.
- Deep hands-on expertise with PySpark, Databricks, and cloud-native data architectures on GCP.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data lake/lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT design, and distributed processing.
- Proven experience implementing data governance, security, and performance optimization at scale.
- Ability to design and manage high-availability, high-throughput data systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and strategic thinking.
- Leadership experience in guiding teams and influencing architectural decisions
