Job Description – Data Analyst (E Commerce Background)
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented data analyst with an e-commerce background to support business operations through data-driven insights and analytical reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data analysis, MIS reporting, dashboard creation, process optimization, and business intelligence tools within the e-Commerce industry.
The role requires expertise in analyzing large datasets, automating reports, identifying operational trends, and supporting strategic decision-making across business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Perform data mining, extraction, validation, cleansing, and transformation activities across multiple business systems.
- Generate actionable business insights to improve operational efficiency, customer performance, and overall business outcomes.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and MIS systems for business performance monitoring.
- Design and manage interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel/VBA, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Create automated reports and workflows using VBA, macros, SQL, and BI tools.
- Support operational and management decision-making through data analysis and reporting.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and reporting needs.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics related to operations, productivity, customer performance, and business efficiency.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting across departments.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and reporting automation.
- Prepare periodic business review reports and analytical presentations for management.
- Support data-driven decision-making across Group Bayport websites and business functions.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, SQL, VBA, Macros, Excel/VBA, and MIS reporting.
- Expertise in data analysis, dashboard development, reporting automation, and business intelligence solutions.
- Strong experience in data mining, cleansing, validation, and transformation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management techniques.
- Ability to interpret complex business data and provide meaningful, actionable insights.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills.
- Good understanding of operational processes, customer analytics, and business performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, operations, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a data analyst or MIS analyst.
- Mandatory experience in the e-Commerce industry.
- Prior experience in business intelligence, reporting automation, and operational analytics is preferred.
