We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in data modelling, data governance, and enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing robust data models, working with large-scale data environments, and supporting business intelligence and analytics initiatives. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent SQL skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Build and maintain canonical and dimensional data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to define data structures and data flows.
- Perform advanced SQL querying, data analysis, and data validation across multiple data sources.
- Work with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDH) and Operational Data Store (ODS) environments.
- Support ETL/ELT processes by validating data pipelines and ensuring data integrity.
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage documentation.
- Conduct data impact analysis and ensure adherence to data governance standards.
- Create dashboards and reports using BI tools to support decision-making.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain documentation in Jira and Confluence.
Technical Skills
Data Modeling & Design
- Strong understanding of Canonical Data Models
- Expertise in Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Modelling
- Hands-on experience in Dimensional Modelling
- Experience with ER modeling tools such as ERwin, Enterprise Architect, PowerDesigner, or similar
Data & Platform Knowledge
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Experience working with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDH) and Operational Data Store (ODS)
- Exposure to Azure Data Platform or AWS Data Platform (preferred)
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
Data Governance
- Experience in data dictionary creation and maintenance
- Metadata management and documentation
- Data lineage tracking and impact analysis
- Understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts
Tools (Preferred)
- Azure Synapse / Databricks
- Power BI or Tableau
- Jira and Confluence
- Basic knowledge of Python for data profiling and analysis
Desired Domain Knowledge
- ITSM data models (Incidents, Changes, Problems)
- Monitoring & Observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
- CMDB relationships and service mapping
- Telecom operational data models
- Resilience, SLA, and KPI modelling
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Modelling, or related roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills
