5+ years of Professional/Technical Experience in Telecom with good knowledge in Planning & Designing of FTTX Network and Hands-on experience in using GIS/drafting Tools like MapInfo/Spatial net/AutoCAD/ Arc GIS/ QGIS and should be capable of handling team and Quality Factory.
Knowledge of Fiber Network Architecture and specifications.
Sound understanding of OSP/ISP construction standards and field practices, planning and design expertise in FTTP, FTTB, FTTC, FTTN, HFC technology, Preferred Good understanding of Method of Measurements for Design and construction of FTTx Network & MDU and should be able to prepare the BOQ and BOM for MDU Designs
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Design of FTTx Network using GIS tools.
Quality Control on design delivery
Strong knowledge of project processes, tools, and standards
Training and Efficiency improvement with team members
Should be able to work on different GIS datasets and create new information or investigate patterns using MAP-INFO, QGIS or other GIS tools like ArcGIS, Spatial net etc...
End to end delivery designs services including but not limited to Detail Design, Survey Packs, validating survey reports and site designs received from the field, create Construction Plans in AutoCAD, BOM/BOQ
Communicate with stakeholders on the rejections and corrective actions.
Coordinating with the Field Teams for the required information
Preparing and interpreting specifications, drawings and regulations for the use of telecommunications equipment
Create power designs as per power utility guidelines.
Communicate with field teams for any additional data/clarification required
Technical Competencies
Understanding of telecommunications transmission network, Outside plant deployment and multiple FTTx Technologies
Experience in Copper/ Fiber Access Network, Field practices along with quality, testing standards and Fibre network architecture
Knowledge of cable/joint/equipment installation techniques. Aerial and underground cabling methodology
Knowledge / Skills Responsible to delivery 100% quality products to customers at all time
Good analytical / problem solving skills
Should be able to work on different GIS datasets and create new information or investigate patterns using QGIS, and Other GIS tools
Communicate with teams for any additional data / clarification required
Creating and maintaining the structures necessary for GIS data storage
Knowledge of OSP, Fiber, Copper & other emerging technologies
Good Hands on Experience on MapInfo Tool/AutoCad
Planning Designing of Telecom Passive network for FTTx technology
Good understanding of Optical and copper distribution and last mile local networks (up to customer premises).
Good understanding of OSP construction activities
Strong GIS skills with two or more GIS packages
Excellent verbal / written communication skills
Good writing skills - for documentation, training, processes
Good understanding of OSP/ISP construction activities
Design optical fibre cable to commercial and residential premises, multi-dwelling units.
Expert for FTTN, FTTB, FTTC technology and MDU designs
Good knowledge of BOQ and BOM for FTTx Designs
