Sr. Control & Application Software (Power Electronics)
We are looking for a highly skilled
Control & Application Software Lead to design, develop, and lead embedded control solutions for advanced power electronics Products and systems such as converters, inverters, EV chargers , Traction drive chain, Solar /Grid connected Inverters , PCS ..etc
This role involves
control algorithm development, embedded software leadership, and system-level integration, ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Control Algorithm Development
- Design and implement control algorithms for:
- DC-DC converters
- AC -DC /DC-AC inverters
- Motor control (FOC, sensorless control)
- Product level - Control Architecture development
- Develop and validate control strategies (PID, state-space, adaptive control, etc.)
- Perform modeling and simulation using tools like MATLAB/Simulink
Embedded Software Development
- Lead development of embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers/DSPs
- Implement real-time control loops, PWM generation, ADC interfacing, and protection logic
- Optimize code for performance, memory, and real-time constraints
System Integration & Testing
- Integrate control software with hardware systems
- Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing
- Debug and troubleshoot system-level issues
- Support validation, certification, and field testing
Application Development
- Customize control strategies for specific applications:
- Electric vehicles (EV)
- Renewable energy (solar inverters, Wind, storage systems)
- Rail , ON/OFF road Traction Drive chain
- Industrial drives and automation
- Work closely with customers or product teams for requirement definition
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare technical documentation (design specs, test reports)
- Ensure compliance with standards (IEC, ISO, automotive SPICE if applicable
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in:
- Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics / Control Systems / Embedded Systems
- 5–9+ years of experience in power electronics control software
- Strong understanding of:
- Control theory
- Power converter topologies
- Embedded systems
- Debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
Good-to-Have
- Auto-code generation (Embedded Coder)
- Communication protocols (CAN, SPI, UART, Ethernet)
- Digital power control techniques
- FPGA basics (optional)
- Knowledge of EV systems / BMS / charging systems
Preferred Experience
- Experience in:
- Solar inverters / grid-tied systems
- PCS
- EV charger
- EV powertrains / chargers
- Industrial motor drives
- Exposure to certification and compliance processes
