Your Impact

OpenText Content Management(XECM) Senior Consultant at Open Text bridges the gap between the technical world of OpenText Enterprise Content Management & needs around of document management and related processes of our customers. Therefore, a combination of deep technical OpenText Content Management(XECM) configuration & development skills, configuration, and strong understanding of OpenText ECM and a wide range of equally important soft consulting skills such as advanced customer facing skills, customer relationship building, facilitate/lead blueprint design and requirements workshops, and excellent communication skills are required for this role.

What The Role Offers

Solution Architecture & Delivery

Designing and implementing enterprise-scale OpenText content management solutions that align with customer business objectives.
Translating business requirements into scalable technical architectures, implementation roadmaps, and solution blueprints.
Leading end-to-end implementation, migration, modernization, upgrade, and transformation initiatives.
Defining platform architecture standards, deployment strategies, and operational readiness processes.

Cloud & Platform Modernization

Driving cloud adoption and modernization initiatives for OpenText platforms.
Architecting highly available, resilient, secure, and scalable content management environments.
Transforming legacy ECM implementations into modern, containerized, cloud-ready solutions.
Establishing deployment, performance, monitoring, and disaster recovery best practices.

AI-Driven Content Solutions

Enabling AI-powered content management capabilities to improve user productivity and business outcomes.
Identifying opportunities for intelligent classification, metadata enrichment, semantic search, knowledge discovery, and content summarization.
Defining AI adoption strategies, governance approaches, and implementation roadmaps for enterprise customers.
Supporting the integration of emerging AI capabilities into content management ecosystems.

Enterprise Integration & Solution Development

Delivering integrations between OpenText platforms and enterprise business applications.
Developing reusable accelerators, automation frameworks, APIs, and integration components.
Designing extensible solutions that support evolving business and operational requirements.
Ensuring interoperability across content repositories, cloud applications, and business systems.

Customer Consulting & Advisory

Facilitating discovery workshops, architecture reviews, and business process assessments.
Providing trusted advisory services for digital transformation, information governance, cloud migration, and content modernization programs.
Engaging with business stakeholders, architects, project managers, and executive sponsors.
Conducting knowledge transfer sessions, technical enablement programs, and solution demonstrations.

Quality, Innovation & Leadership

Ensuring platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.
Driving innovation through proof-of-concepts, reference architectures, and reusable best practices.
Supporting presales activities, solution estimation, and technical proposal development.
Mentoring junior consultants and contributing to capability development within the practice.

What You Need To Succeed

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of professional experience in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) technologies.
Minimum 4+ years of customer-facing consulting and solution delivery experience.
Experience in at least four full lifecycle ECM implementations from blueprinting through go-live and production stabilization.

Proven experience with OpenText installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, administration, patching, and troubleshooting.

Technical Skills

Hands-on development experience using:

OScript
SMART UI
WebReports
REST APIs
Content Web Services (CWS)
Java and scripting languages

Experience designing and implementing API-driven integrations with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, SAP, ERP, CRM, and cloud platforms.
Understanding of microservices architecture, enterprise integration patterns, and modern application frameworks.

Cloud & Container Technologies

Practical experience with:

Kubernetes
Docker
OpenShift
Helm
Containerized deployment architectures

Understanding of cloud-native architecture, high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and performance optimization.
Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.

AI & Emerging Technologies

Exposure to AI-powered enterprise content management solutions.
Working knowledge of Generative AI, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, and knowledge discovery concepts.
Interest in emerging technologies and continuous learning.

Professional & Consulting Skills

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, RCA, and performance tuning capabilities.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments and manage multiple priorities.
Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional technical and business teams.
Demonstrated ability to earn customer trust and serve as a strategic advisor.
Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities for business value creation.
