KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) engineering support for new construction, expansions, renovations, and maintenance projects across multiple North American manufacturing facilities.
- Review structural design concepts, specifications, and drawings proposal for buildings, foundations, site utilities, access roads, and facility infrastructure.
- Ensure all designs meet local building codes, OSHA regulations, food safety standards (e.g., SQF, BRC), and internal company guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process engineers, mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers, to ensure fully integrated facility designs.
- Manage external design consultants, architects, and contractors review and approve deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct facility assessments, site surveys, and condition inspections; recommend and scope repair or replacement strategies.
- Participate in capital planning, capital prioritization, cost estimation, and scheduling for CSA-related scopes of work.
- Drive innovation and sustainability initiatives in building materials, structural systems, and site development.
- Maintain and update CSA engineering standards, facility drawings management, best practices, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Support and technical consult for facility CSA support needs.
- Facilitate regular community of practice communications and team development for field facilities engineers.
- Lead implementations of new or modified standards or policy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Industrial or manufacturing facility design and construction, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Experience collaborating with international teams or within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of structural systems (steel, concrete, masonry, wood) and civil/site development.
- Familiarity with relevant US building codes and standards: IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE, OSHA, USDA, FDA facility guidelines.
- Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, SAP2000, RISA, or equivalent.
- Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
- Experience with hygienic Food Safety design principles for food manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as LEED or Envision.
- Experience managing multi-site projects and remote coordination with teams.
- Strong team skills/collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently organize workload and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and proactively on responsibilities.
- Critical attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with multinational food companies or large Indian FMCG companies.
Must Have Skills
Mandatory hands-on capital project management experience in the Food or FMCG industry, including high-value and complex projects.
