The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. This collaborative approach ensures a well-coordinated supply chain that aligns with both organizational goals and dynamic market conditions.

Purpose of the role

The Should Cost Modeling team began in F20, with the goal of leveraging data and insights to achieve best-in-class cost management, enabling over $150MM in Total Value to reduce spend and mitigate inflation. This exciting team is evolving from a project team to an integrated sourcing process. We are seeking a high-performing and self-motivated individual to join the Should Cost Model COE team as a Cost Model Lead. This role is a great opportunity for an individual who wishes to grow professionally in the intersection of procurement, finance, ITQ, engineering and manufacturing.

The individual who will qualify for this position must demonstrate strong analytical skills, high curiosity, ability to learn new concepts and digital technology quickly, a proactive mindset, an aptitude for active listening and great communication skills.The Cost Model Lead is responsible for the development of Should Cost models for direct, indirect, Pet and ESC categories across the sourcing organization. Our focus is to provide the data, insights and resources that buying teams need to most effectively leverage should cost modeling.

Key Accountabilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop should cost models across a range of spend categories - perform research on production/delivery processes on categories, develop structure of models, research and validate assumptions, and test modeling logic
  • Analyze cost model results and communicate model logic, findings, and implications with Sourcing and business team counterparts
  • Support any n egotiations or other sourcing events as needed to ensure effective use of cost models by procurement team counterparts
  • Leverage advanced digital tools such as Palantir and McKinsey's Cleansheet to develop and maintain models.
  • Ensure consistent application of cost model methodologies across categories
  • Develop and manage centralized cost model COE KPIs tracking, reporting, and communication to the organization support a capacity model and operational metrics to ensure COE resources are used most effectively and stakeholder needs are met
  • Maintain a central library of models to ensure said models are up-to-date and ready for use by GIC team and procurement counterparts
  • Utilize benchmarking and internal stakeholder feedback to support COE capability development
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of should-cost modeling and take the initiative to teach skills to COE team members play an active role in onboard training, stakeholder communication, and team culture
  • Connect externally to bring new insight and expertise to Sourcing in the area of should-cost modeling
  • Maintain a focus on continuous improvement to support continued advancement of the COE in a mature state

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Communication & Experience

  • University degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or Business.
  • Fluency in English with the ability to work in a multi-lingual environment
  • 7+ years of Supply Chain, Engineering, ITQ, Sourcing, Finance and/or Project Management experience 5 Years preferred

Analytical Expertise

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to independently disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
  • Experience in research, knowledge of modeling techniques, and basic finance / accounting knowledge
  • Experience in mathematical software (e.g., Excel), databases, and comfortable working with large datasets
  • Expertise in process design, 3rd party collaboration, and customer service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance or related field. APICS, CPM, or equivalent procurement certification preferred.

  • Engage with Purpose: Experience working with variety of stakeholders with differing needs and agendas
  • Strong Sourcing functional expertise - including strategic sourcing process, supplier negotiations and influence, collaboration with stakeholders, strong project management
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional and cross-regional teams, especially with U.S.-based stakeholders.
  • Experience in the food and CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry is a plus. Understanding of global sourcing complexities, regulatory compliance, and sustainability practices in procurement.
  • Proven ability to operate in a global matrixed organization, supporting U.S. tim e zones and business units. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence senior stakeholders remotely.
