Job Description:
We are hiring experienced Sr. CNC Operator & Setter for 5-Axis CNC, 4-Axis CNC Milling, and CNC Turn-Mill Machines. Candidates should have strong hands-on experience in machine setup, prove-out, operation, drawing interpretation, tooling management, and machining precision components with tight tolerances for Aerospace & Defense applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently set up, prove, and operate 5-Axis CNC Machines (DMG DMU 60 EVO, DMU 50, DMU 85 FD, Matsuura MX-520).
- Independently set up and operate 4-Axis CNC Milling Machines (Doosan MYNX 7500, MYNX 6500, Makino Slim 3N).
- Operate CNC Turn-Mill Machines with C-Axis / Y-Axis / Live Tooling (DMG CTX Beta, Doosan PUMA 2600 LSY, ACE Micromatic SJE10LM).
- Perform simultaneous, indexed, milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and complex machining operations.
- Handle fixtures, pallets, rotary tables, workholding systems, datum setting, and first article approvals.
- Apply tool offsets, work offsets, minor program corrections, and optimize cycle time.
- Manage cutting tools, holders, inserts, presetting, tool life, and surface finish improvements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining tolerances.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain setup sheets, tool lists, process documentation, and production records.
- Monitor alarms, lubrication, coolant, spindle load, and machine health.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive maintenance and machine uptime.
- Guide junior operators and support shift handovers.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, PPE, and quality systems.
- Work with CAM / Programming teams using SOLIDCAM for machining optimization.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in 5-Axis / 4-Axis / Turn-Mill CNC Machine Setup & Operation.
- Knowledge of Aerospace / Defense precision machining standards.
- Good understanding of drawings, GD&T, and machining tolerances.
- Tooling, fixtures, offset correction, and cycle time optimization knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and in shifts.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Experience in DMG / Doosan / Makino / Matsuura / ACE Micromatic machines preferred.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
- Team handling / mentoring experience added advantage.
