Position Summary: Principal Consultant – Cloud Management is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise cloud environments with a strong emphasis on Linux-based systems. This role combines deep technical expertise in cloud platforms and Linux administration with leadership skills to ensure secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud operations. The position drives cloud adoption, automation, and optimization initiatives aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sr. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Administrator based in Gurugram. The Sr OCI Administrator will be responsible for overseeing cloud-based infrastructure, managing Oracle Cloud environments, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system reliability and performance. The role entails duties such as system administration, implementing and maintaining IT systems, ensuring infrastructure scalability, and collaborating with other IT teams to uphold network security and tackle technical challenges effectively.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) are advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and manage scalable OCI infrastructure (Compute, VCN, Object Storage, Block Volumes, Load Balancers, DNS, Autoscaling).
- Lead complex cloud deployments, migrations, and modernization initiatives on OCI.
- Own end-to-end Linux system administration (Oracle Linux, RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) including performance tuning and hardening.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, OCI Resource Manager, and Ansible with reusable modules and standards.
- Design and implement advanced networking architectures (VCN peering, DRG, FastConnect, VPN, private/public routing).
- Define and enforce cloud security architecture (IAM policies, compartments, Zero Trust principles, encryption, key management).
- Establish proactive monitoring, alerting, and observability using OCI Monitoring, Logging, and APM tools.
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront, Auto Scaling)

- Perform deep troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis for critical production issues.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to design CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, OCI DevOps).
- Define and implement enterprise-grade backup, disaster recovery (DR), and high availability (HA) strategies.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide technical leadership across cloud operations.
- Participate in governance, change management (CAB), and compliance initiatives aligned with ITIL practices.

- Compute, Object Storage, Block Volume, VCN, Load Balancer, DNS, IAM, Monitoring, Logging, Autoscaling
- Strong experience with multi-region and high-availability OCI architectures
- AWS Services Expertise: EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Lambda.
- Monitoring & Logging: AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus/Grafana.
Linux Administration:
- Advanced administration of Oracle Linux, RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu
- Shell scripting (Bash), system tuning, patching, and security hardening
Automation & IaC:
- Terraform (advanced modules), OCI Resource Manager, Ansible
- CI/CD pipeline integration and automation frameworks
Networking:
- Advanced DNS, DRG, FastConnect, VPN, Load Balancers
- Network security (NSGs, Security Lists, firewalls) and traffic flow optimization
Monitoring & Observability:
- OCI Monitoring, Logging, APM
- ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana
Security & Compliance:
- OCI IAM, compartment design, encryption (KMS), CIS benchmarks
- Zero Trust architecture and cloud security frameworks
Preferred Skills
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (OKE – Oracle Kubernetes Engine)
