We are seeking an AWS L2 Support Engineer with strong expertise in Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and Terraform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and high availability. This role requires a deep understanding of Linux administration, AWS core services, DevOps tools, and cloud automation.
Experience & Key Responsibilities
Technical Experience
- 5+ years of experience administering Linux servers in an enterprise environment.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud services.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services like EC2, VPCs, subnets, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeCommit.
- Experience migrating on-premises solutions to public cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud networking & security, including VPCs, Security Groups, and Direct Connect.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and ITIL processes.
- Experience in creating highly automated infrastructures.
Core Responsibilities
AWS Cloud & Infrastructure Support
- Manage and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure, including EKS clusters and other core AWS services.
- Optimize AWS cloud resources for efficiency, scalability, and stability.
- Analyze and improve monitoring, continuous integration, and platform performance.
DevOps & Automation
- Implement cloud automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment efficiency.
- Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and a self-service knowledge base.
Incident & Change Management
- Diagnose and resolve L2-level cloud and infrastructure issues with minimal supervision.
- Work on Service Improvement Plans (SIP) and Risk Registers (RR) to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Provide after-hours on-call support and work in shifts when required.
Collaboration & Customer Support
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, cloud architects, and application teams.
- Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders to address issues and provide solutions.
Requirements & Certifications
- Strong communication skills to engage with customers effectively.
- Hands-on experience supporting customer-facing multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification is a plus.
- Availability to work in rotational shifts and provide on-call support as needed.
