This Position reports to:

Program Manager IoT Cloud


Your role and responsibilities :

In this role, you will have the opportunity to initiate and drive technology, software, product, and/or solution development using in-depth technical expertise in a specific area. Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development (R&D) for in-depth product or technology-related issues. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting strategic corporate technology management and future product/software/solution architecture.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Motion Business Service Division in Bangalore India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Define and govern the Azure data platform architecture (ingestion, streaming, storage, processing, and serving layers), including data modeling, data quality, lineage, and lifecycle management to support analytics and IoT workloads.

  • Own the end-to-end Azure cloud architecture for Powertrain enterprise solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security standards, and compliance requirements.

  • Drive cloud adoption, migration, and modernization initiatives, including transformation of legacy platforms to cloud‑native and microservices-based architectures.

  • Drive integration of Azure solutions with customer systems and third‑party platforms, ensuring secure and scalable hybrid connectivity.

  • Collaborate closely with solution architect, DevOps, security, and technical team leads to ensure architectural alignment and consistency across product boundaries.

  • Provide architectural guidance on non‑functional requirements including scalability, performance, availability, resilience, disaster recovery, and cost optimization (FinOps).

  • Champion DevOps and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices using Azure DevOps / GitHub and, Bicep, or Terraform to enable repeatable and reliable deployments.

  • Act as a role model and take responsibility for mentoring and coaching senior engineers and technical team leads, strengthening cloud engineering practices and enterprise-level architectural thinking across teams.



Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 15-20 years of IT experience, including 5-6+ years in Azure Cloud / Solution Architecture

  • Strong experience designing enterprise-scale Azure solutions across compute, network, storage, data, and integration

  • Experience in data platform architecture on Azure (e.g., Azure delta lake, Azure Data Factory, Databricks / Spark, Synapse / SQL, Stream Analytics, Event Hubs / Kafka patterns, Azure Fabric, ML flow, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Foundry ) and applying data governance concepts (catalog, RBAC, encryption, retention).

  • Hands-on expertise with Azure services: IoT Hub, Cosmos DB, Redis, Event Hubs, Service Bus, API Management, App Gateway, Key Vault, App Configuration, Notification Hubs, SendGrid, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure networking

  • Strong knowledge of large-scale, complex, distributed Azure,microservices architecture and cloud-native design patternswith hands-on .NET / C#, Typescript and Python development experience.

  • Deep understanding of security, identity, governance, and compliance in Azure

  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and cloud operations

  • Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills having prior experience working with global and distributed teams
