The goal will be to ensure all civil engineering activities are delivered on time according to requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of civil design engineers for carrying out the civil engineering activities of various Boiler and Power plant projects
Provide proposal engineering support, review tender requirements, carry out basic engineering and provide estimations pertaining to civil.
Review civil design-engineering work, ensure compliance with project contract, optimize the designs and ensure BOQs are within the project estimates.
Guide the civil team for optimizing layouts, designs and provide innovative solutions.
Co-ordinate with other engineering disciplines for inputs and interface engineering.
Co-ordinate with customer and customer's consultant for approval of engineering documents and attend regular progress review meetings at site and HO.
Manpower planning, selection of candidates and mentoring them.
Attend internal and external management review meetings and resolve conflict issues pertaining to civil engineering.
Requirements
B.E. civil engineering with 6-20 years experience.
Minimum 6-15 years experience in Boiler or related industry as civil design engineer.
In-depth understanding of civil design aspects
Good knowledge of Staad software and other commercially available softwares.
