Sr. Business Systems Analyst, People & Internal Systems
HealthEdge is in a period of rapid growth and consolidation following recent mergers. The Business Technology team exists to make sure the systems that power our business keep up — not just running, but evolving alongside the teams that depend on them. We're hiring a Sr. Business Systems Analyst to join our People & Internal Systems team as a Bangalore-based peer to our US-based Workday lead.
You'll bring deep Workday expertise across configuration, business processes and integrations — partnering closely with HR to keep the platform healthy, evolving and genuinely useful. In the near term, you'll have a strong focus on building out our 30+ new integrations as migrate from a legacy system, but this role is designed to grow: more module ownership, broader systems scope and expanded stakeholder relationships over time.
If you're a technically sharp Workday specialist who thrives on keeping complex integration ecosystems healthy, reaches for AI before someone tells you to, and wants a role with real ownership from day one — this role is for you.
In This Role, You'll Get To
- Own the integration layer. Share ownership of Workday's 30+ active integrations — payroll, benefits, identity management, finance and more — monitoring health, resolving failures at the root, and improving reliability over time.
- Configure and improve. Work across Workday modules and with HRIS, providing input on business processes, condition rules and security to support HR's evolving needs.
- Automate what shouldn't be manual. Identify and eliminate repetitive work through Workday business process automation, calculated fields, and integration tooling.
- Measure what matters. Connect what you build to outcomes — integration uptime, data quality, process cycle time. Know whether your solution moved the needle and explain impact in business terms, not just technical ones.
- Be the trusted partner. Embed yourself in how HR teams actually work — surfacing friction before stakeholders have to tell you about it, translating what you find into requirements, and building the case for what needs to change.
- Think in systems. Design solutions for longevity — upstream and downstream, anticipating what breaks three hops down the road, building for scale rather than just solving today's problem.
- Bring an AI-first lens to the work. Use AI tools to accelerate your own output — analysis, documentation, testing, solution design — and look for opportunities to bring that lens to how the people function operates.
- Grow with the team. As HealthEdge scales and the People & Internal Systems team matures, there's real opportunity to expand into broader systems and internal platforms — for the right person who wants to keep growing.
- Build institutional knowledge. Maintain thorough documentation of system configuration, integration architecture and data flows — so the team isn't dependent on tribal knowledge.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in HRIS or business systems roles — with direct, hands-on Workday experience across configuration, business process design and integrations (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors or similar)
- Comfort working across Workday's functional breadth, not just one module or one technical lane
- Strong working knowledge of integration patterns — APIs, SFTP, middleware, SSO and how data moves between enterprise systems — and proven ability to troubleshoot when things break in production
- Hands-on experience with automation — Workday business process logic, calculated fields, or iPaaS platforms (MuleSoft, Workato, Boomi or similar) — and a track record of reducing manual work
- Experience partnering with HR stakeholders to translate business requirements into Workday configuration — you understand both the technical and functional sides of the platform
- Strong data fluency — you validate, interpret and explain data clearly, and understand how system configuration decisions affect what lands downstream
- Comfort with ambiguity — this team is building its own playbook and you'll help write it; you don't need a perfect brief to get started
- Clear communicator who translates technical complexity for HR and business audiences without losing the substance
- Familiarity with data privacy and security frameworks (HIPAA, Hi-Trust, or similar) as they apply to HR data and cross-system data flows
- AI-first by default: you already reach for AI tools in your daily work, experiment on your own, and are genuinely curious about what comes next — not just willing to use AI when asked
