Position Summary
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and improving business processes, conducting in-depth research, and delivering actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making. This role requires a mix of strong technical skills, business acumen, and excellent communication to effectively support cross-functional teams and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Construct workflow charts and diagrams; analyze system capabilities and write specifications.
- Improve systems by studying current practices and designing enhancements and modifications.
- Recommend internal controls and procedural improvements by identifying root causes and inefficiencies.
- Define project requirements by identifying milestones, phases, and key deliverables; form project teams and help establish project budgets.
- Monitor project progress by tracking activities, resolving issues, publishing progress reports, and recommending necessary actions.
- Prepare technical and analytical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operational and trend data.
- Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, and operational research to support business and strategic planning.
- Interpret, evaluate, and interrelate data to provide actionable business insights and projections.
- Present data-driven recommendations to senior management and actively support their implementation.
- Conduct ad hoc, deep-dive analyses to resolve operational challenges or explore new opportunities.
Technical Requirements
- Strong understanding of the financial and operational impact of business changes.
- Develop and maintain informative, repeatable reporting frameworks that highlight business trends and performance metrics.
- Experience with Microsoft Access and/or SQL is strongly preferred.
- Ability to drive process improvements and influence change effectively and diplomatically.
