Job Title: Senior HVAC BIM Modeler
Job Description:
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical HVAC BIM Modeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing BIM models for HVAC systems, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for HVAC systems using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) disciplines to ensure accurate and integrated models.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings and schematics for HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts.
- Perform clash detection and resolution to identify and address potential conflicts in the design phase.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss and resolve design issues and ensure project milestones are met.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure the BIM models are updated and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the development of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency across projects.
- Provide technical support and training to team members on BIM-related software and processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in all BIM models and drawings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC design and BIM modeling within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including design principles, installation practices, and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other BIM-related software and tools, such as BIM 360, Dynamo, or similar.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and energy modeling.
- Familiarity with construction documentation and processes.
