Sr. BIM Engineer - MEP

A Senior BIM Modeller - MEPF typically leads and manages the creation, coordination, and quality

control of detailed Building Information Models specifically for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and

Firefighting systems. This role ensures that the BIM models comply with project standards, BIM

execution plans, and relevant construction codes, while collaborating closely with engineers,

architects, and construction teams to resolve design challenges.

Senior BIM Modeller MEPF Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and detailed modeling of MEPF systems using Revit and related BIM

software.

Ensure cross-discipline coordination and perform clash detection/resolution with

architectural and structural models.

Maintain and enforce BIM standards, modeling protocols, and BIM execution plans for MEPF

disciplines.

Conduct quality control checks on BIM models and deliverables to ensure accuracy and

completeness.

Mentor and support junior BIM modelers and coordinate within multidisciplinary project

teams.

Produce and manage model deliverables, including construction documentation and shop

drawings.

Stay updated on BIM industry trends and implement automation tools and enhanced

workflows where applicable.

Represent the BIM modeling function in internal meetings and project coordination sessions.

Knowledge of understanding of BIM Process (LOD & LOI) and Documentation (BEP, EIR, AIR,

MIDP, TIDP) etc.

Skills and Requirements

Expert proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit (with MEP focus), Navisworks, and

BIM 360.

Strong knowledge of MEPF systems, building codes, and construction documentation.

Experience with parametric modeling, family creation, and automation tools like Dynamo is

highly valuable.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in MEPF BIM modeling.

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering, Architecture, or related

field.

Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Revit or equivalent certification preferred.

Strong leadership, mentoring, coordination, and communication skills.
